What is the Slinger™ Universal Flex Exhaust Hanger Kit?

When a new cat-back, J-pipe, or resonator doesn't line up with the factory isolator, the Slinger™ wraps the pipe and hangs it from the frame. It's an adjustable exhaust hanger kit built for aftermarket, custom, and modified exhaust systems, using a flexible EPDM sling and stainless steel hardware to support exhaust tubing from 2.5" to 4" in diameter. It installs with basic hand tools, with no welding or drilling.

What problem does it solve?

Factory exhaust hangers are rigid and fixed in place, which makes life difficult when you're fitting a custom system or relocating components. This exhaust hanger kit wraps around the exhaust pipe wherever you need support and pivots to reach existing frame holes, OEM brackets, or a self-tapping bolt point, so you can often avoid fabrication altogether.

Because the sling flexes, it absorbs movement between the exhaust pipe and the chassis instead of transmitting it. That helps reduce drone, resonance, rattles, and cabin hum. It works in spots where rigid metal hangers simply can't reach or align.

What's included in the kit?

Each Slinger™ exhaust hanger kit includes one EPDM sling hanger, one Mini U-Flex sub-sling, one pivot-flex upper mounting bracket, stainless M8 support bolts, and installation hardware. The Safety Flex-Link™ backup wire is included with the Pro Kit options, or sold separately as an add-on.

What exhaust systems is it compatible with?

This exhaust hanger kit suits aftermarket cat-back systems, tailpipe sections, resonator installs, muffler outlets, J-pipe additions, band-clamp areas, and other custom exhaust work on cars and trucks. It is designed for rear and axle-back exhaust applications, and is not intended for high-heat header or mid-pipe sections. Check your pipe diameter and available mounting points before ordering.

How does it help with exhaust drone and rattles?

The EPDM sling isolates vibration between the exhaust pipe and the vehicle chassis. Unlike a rigid metal hanger welded straight to the pipe, the flexible sling absorbs movement and vibration transfer, which helps reduce exhaust drone, resonance, and cabin hum while you drive.

Installation overview

Wrap the EPDM sling around the exhaust pipe at the support location you want. Thread the stainless hardware through the sling ends. Attach the upper pivot bracket to an existing frame hole, an OEM hanger point, or use the included self-tapping bolt. Adjust tension and alignment to suit. Most installs take minutes with basic hand tools, with no welding or cutting.
